Sixty eight percent of the world’s population subsist on a handful of rice a day, if they are lucky. Rice is not a complete food and as such leads those who rely on it to eventually die of malnutrition. This is especially true of very young developing children. Imagine the sheer number of people…children in particular, who are perishing from lack of nutrition. In 2013, when we began as “Vitahway, LLC”, our previous name, 6.3 million children under the age of 5 died of malnutrition…that’s 17,000 a day or more than 11 per minute. In a world that has enough food to feed all 7 billion people on our planet 3000 calories a day, this is unconscionable. There are many reasons for this, greed, and corruption in many 3rd world countries at the top of the list. Furthermore, giving a person a multi vitamin or a complete food that is suffering with “starvation syndrome” will kill them. Enter our answer to starvation syndrome: Sustenance-1.
